Mountain Loan Centers Liars all of them Salt Lake City Utah

On Sept 10 I was contacted by "josh" from Mountain Loan Centers in SLC and was offered a loan.  Unfortunately, my income was too low.  He inquired about my husband's income and I was told that my husband more than qualified.  "Josh" called back on Sept. 12 when my husband was home, and spoke to him.  My husband then gave Josh permission to discuss all the details with me, as I would be handeling the account (as I do with all the house hold bills)

Josh told us that we were pre-approved for a loan of up to 1600.00.  Since we are a 1 income family (I have several health issues at present that preclude me from working) and we have a large amount of medical debt, we thought this may be a good way to get some smaller bills paid off and only have 1 payment.  I continued to question Josh about the amount, informing him at that time that my husband's child support was paid out of his check every week.  He said that would be no problem and that we were GUARANTEED a loan, all we had to do was drive to Salt Lake City to sign the paper work.

I called on the 19th to confirm our appointment at 10:00 A.M. and to make sure that everything was still set for the GUARANTEED loan.  Salt Lake City is a 2 hour drive for us.  So we put our LAST 50.00 into the gas tank, gave up half of our visitation weekend and drove for 2 hours to get to our appointment.  We arrived 15 minutes early only to find that there were 3 employees (only 2 doing loans) a FULL waiting room most with 10:00 appointments.  When we were finally called (about 11:00) we sat down and at that time we were told that we were declined because of the "garnishment" on my husbands check.  When we explained that it was his child support and not really a "garnishment" we were told that "any type of garnishment would preclude us from getting a loan with them"

At this time I brought up the fact that we were told we were "guaranteed" a loan and asked about that.  The employee sat stone faced, no reaction, no emotion.  When asked who Josh was same reaction.   We barely had the gas money to make it home.  Now we have a week with NO MONEY,  My husband has to get to and from work, and I have Dr's appts.  and we have no gas for the week.

ANYONE that does business with these people or hears that they are "guaranteed a loan"  laugh and hang up.   I am contacting the BBB and the FDIC, & the FTC and any one else who has authority over this type of business...
