Mxenergy sending out bills to people that don't even live at the address anymore. When you receive a bill in the mail and you call them about it, they always have an excuse why the bill was sent even though you are not suppose to pay the bill. When called about the bill and t hey tell you it is the last bill, they always try to find an excuse why they sent the last bill. But, also they will not send you a confirmation that this is the last bill, because they can't send emails out to people.Mxenergy is a big ripoff. They say they send you out a letter stating that if you go with another carrier or you drop service with them, you will be charged a $50.00 service fee. Myself I did not receive a letter, but they want to still send me out a bill every time I turn around. I am sick of all of this . I believe that it should be your preference to stay with a natural gas supplier or not. I feel like this is a discrimination against my bill of rights. I would advise anyone seeking a natural gas supplier do not go with MXENERGY!!!!!!

MXEnergy ETF Fees

AUTHOR: Dan - (United States of America)

Mr. Cornelia

As frustrated as this situation must make you, please attempt to see it from the company's perspective. Just because you move away from a certain address does not make you any less responsible for debts that you incurred at that address, when you had service with Atlanta Gas-Light.
Also, when you enrolled for service with MXEnergy, you were informed through a verification process of any and all fees included in the service, including the Early Termination Fees. It is also the policy of MXEnergy to send Welcome Letters to all new customers, informing them of their rights and Obligations under the agreement.
Agreeing to begin service with Atlanta Gas & Light through MXEnergy meant that you agreed to all of those terms, including any Early Termination Fees. Because you cancelled before the end the term that you agreed upon, you were charged that fee, which, if you haven't not paid, is still owed, no matter where you live at this time.
Something else I want to point out: MXEnergy charges Early termination fees because when you agree to a fixed rate contract, MX pre-purchases the natural gas for that contract at the start of the term, at the agreed-upon rate, for the entirety of the term. When you end your contract prematurely, you cause MX to take a loss, and the early termination fee is a way to make that loss up and remain a stable company, able to provide natural gas rates lower than the competition for years to come.
