This is the second time MyPoints has attempted to refuse an award am due. I attended a seminar for a reward of 3550 points and am still fighting them weeks later to get wat I earned. I have concrete proof I fulfilled my end of the deal, and they are still ignoring my requests with generic emails that indicate they do not even read the emails they are sent.
I went to Hawaii in December also and had to fight them for those points as well. I booked my trip thru them. The deal was 10 points per dollar and they tried to award me 210 points for a deal worth over 5000. Anytime I have earned a large reward it seems they conveniently find a way to not give them.
When this is over, and I am gonna fight them on this, I am spending whatever points I have and getting out.

First of all, let me say that I am sorry that you have had a negative experience with MyPoints. Anytime something doesn't work as you want doesn't, it's hard to get beyond the anger. Having said that...
The details you have listed in your complaint are valid however missing some information.
1) How long did you wait before "fighting" them for your points? They inform participants that it can take as much as 30 days to appear on the account information. You just mention that you are still fighting them several weeks later, but you never mention the waiting period.
2) Read the fine print and be patient. I've found that waiting 45 days before reacting negatively produced a better outlook.
3) "I am gonna fight them on this" -- remember that this a free site and although it is frustrating that they are seemingly not living up to their end of the bargain, you have nothing invested in this. Yes you have earned points and should redeem them, but going into a battle with them over points, not a service you have paid for, will seem trival in just a few months. You have paid to use services NOT attributed to MyPoints; when you purchased the flight, you didn't purchase it from MyPoints. You purchased it from the airlines. MyPoints is just a way to earn some gift card rewards while supporting their sponsers. Before diving in to "fight" them, consider the energy and time it will take to do that and to just walk away and learn.
