In 2006 I leased a credit card machine for my small business from a man by the name of Mr. Guinn but felt something was not quite right and should have stuck with my gut instincts!

The contract was for a 48 mo lease in the amount of $49.95 to be deducted from my business banking account each month. This man said he worked for The Pheonix Group and when I told him I would need a copy of the lease agreement without my realizing it promised me the copy and left without letting me run a copy. He did not leave me the requested business card either!

I rcvd a letter (The letter was from The Lease Capital Group) a week later along with the cc terminal. I had several failed attempts to set the equipment up and everyone I tried calling stated "the equipment was not thiers so they could not help me". I eventually got it to work and used it only 2-3 times...it took many calls to numerous people to finally get my payments deposited into my business acct. I never used the machine again after 2006. The bank account deductions have a name of NPC RPSI Inc listed each month when they deduct the $58.04.

I have called the numbers listed on my bank statement and the terminal itself along with other ph leads by these people who state "they have no idea as to who my account is held with as it is not them and never was"

So after 4 years of not being able to get anyone to help me locate who this terminal belongs to and who continues to take my money out of my account, I decided enough was enough! The lease expired 4/8/2010 so I closed the acct and cut off who ever this is' cash flow! Not to mention the sales rep NEVER once in 4 yrs tried to contact me nor has this company until now!!!

Well, of course within a week I started receiving phone calls under the caller ID name of NPC/RPSI and National Processing Co (Ph# 708-364-1024); as well as I have received a statement from Lease Capital Group Inc. under an address of 7851 West 185th St, Suite 200 Tinsley Park IL 60477.The man calling to leave messages only identifies himself as 'TOM with National Processing Company & to call him back at 1-866-465-3273 about an unpaid payment for a leased cc machine" which has an address listed in Orland Park, IL

I returned the equipment and sent a certified letter to this address and am awaiting confirmation, I refuse to speak to anyone on the phone as I'm done with these crooks!

I know this company is a SCAM and I will not give them another dime!

I have sent a letter to the FTC and will seek any help available and would like anyone who has had a similiar experince with any of these companies listed, to PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT OR REPORT IT TO THIS SITE!

Leases

AUTHOR: Spar2cus - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, October 19, 2010

I just wanted to say something to your complaint. I know it's several months after your posting, but I have to say that leases are not bad in every situation. Some merchants don't have the luxury of expandable cash to buy equipment and possibly multiple units and have to lease them. If you can buy one out right is the smarter thing to do or look for a Merchant Service Provider that gives you free equipment while you are a customer of theirs. To sum up the lease you have, all you have to do is find out what your buy-out is. The lease is a dated contract and once it's up, you find out what the percentage is to close it out. Most cases is 5-10% of the whole amount. Example, you paid $50 for 48 months, so about $2400. at worse you pay around $240 to close it out. Almost like a balloon on a car lease. Same concept just smaller numbers. I hope this helps.
