My son was arrested and had to call me collect from a jail.  This company places the call and says you have to prepay a minimum of $20 to receive a collect call to a cell phone.  They say it will be $4.95 to set up the account, $2.95 for the first minute and $0.40 for each additional minute.  We had one 15 minute phone call.  When he called me a second time, the system made me put another $20 on the account to take the call.  I had two charges for $20 on my bank account.  Then two days later there is an added charge of $38.  That's 78 bucks for two fifteen minute calls and a third charge to which I never agreed.  Anyone needing to make a collect call is probably in dire straights and this company is not only profiteering off of their misfortune but charging credit cards without permission.

So what happened when you called NCIC's customer service??

That doesn't sound accurate on the billing.  It sounds as though you may have had two validation holds for $20 ($40 in total), but actually charged only $38.  The $40 charges would have been credited by your bank.  Call our customer service to confirm this is the case.

Thank you.
