Out of nowhere I received a collections letter from NCO Financial Systems Inc. I have never heard of them until I searched the Internet and found Ripoffreport.com. They want me to pay on a past debt to Paypal that I do not owe and have never heard of. I have followed the instructions of others on this site and reported them to the FTC and demanded them to not call as well as provide proof of my debt by signature. If anyone have any other suggestions, I would appreciate it. Thanks and watch out for this "company."

NCO and Paypal...what a pain

AUTHOR: Julie - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, October 03, 2006

They started to contact me around June I want to say. I sent them a letter stating to stop calling me. I get a letter back saying they never heard of me and they had no idea what account I was referring to.

The calls stopped for a little and now they're picking up again. I checked my credit report a while back probably when they first started calling me it looked okay. How can I pull another credit report. I would hate to think they're pulling up my credit report for no reason. I do remember contacting the 3 credit bureaus and requesting that no credit check was to be done without my consent, does anyone know if that works?

Julie

Don't send them a dime; that validates the debt. Don't talk to them on the phone. I sent them a letter asking for debt validation and haven't heard from them since. They had 2 inquiries on my credit report I can't get rid of. I'm not sure how they get away with this but they do. Good Luck.

I know what you are saying!

I feel bad for you! They are hard to deal with and worse they can't prove the debt. The other day we received a bill from them from 1997! My husband does not read books (because he hates to read). I called his ex wife & she has no clue either! I then called them. I told them I wanted proof of this debt and prove it is his. They said they don't deal with liars! HOw can anyone lie when the debt is almost 10 years old, there is no proof of whose debt this is, and further they don't have a good address of where he lived! I think they make up debts or they support id fraud. I explained that we had fraud alerts on our credit and they said "everyone says that". The fact is my husband has proved id fraud. They said we owe! How can this be? Any suggestions?
