NewEgg Another Rebate ripoff Whittier California

I bought an LCD Optiquest Monitor from New Egg. I bought it toward the end of the month. I downloaded the form after the first of the month, and the deadlines were different. Clearly they continued the rebate from the previous month - the terms were the same - the only thing that changed was the dates flipped at the end of the month.

I haven't recieved the rebate. and I did for hard drive I purchased later.

The rebate was for $40 - not enough money to spend hours fighting for, but I believe I was bait and switched, and I bet I'm not alone.

The long term solution for these "deals" I think is probably just to outlaw consumer rebates. They won the deal on price and then stiffed me, and it's not as if I was reading the agreement wrong, or didn't live up the terms.

New Egg advertised something different than they delivered.
