I purchased a shirt from NFLSHOP.com in August 2009 as a Hannukah gift for my wife.  I made the purchase in August since the shirt she picked out had been sold out before and I did not want to risk it not being available if I waited.  The regular return policy for NFLSHOP.com does state that returns of items in original condition are accepted within 30 days but I emailed customer service and they said that they were going to be coming out with a holiday return policy that would extend the period of time you could return an item if it was purchased as a holiday gift.  I gave my wife the shirt the other day as a Hannukah gift and it does not fit.  I contacted NFLSHOP.com and was told that their holiday return policy does allow for returns until January 31, 2010 but purchase had to be made between November 1, 2009 and December 31, 2009.  I have the shirt in brand new, never worn condition with all tags on it and they won't take it back.  To add to my frustration, there is no phone number to call customer service---only email.  UNFAIR!

So..

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

So by your logic I can buy an item at any point in the year. Then as long as I "say" it was a holiday gift, I can wait a few months and return it at my leisure.

There was no RipOff, you bought it in August with the regular return policy in effect.  If somehow you "thought" it ment something else, well that is between you and them.  As I have yet to see a single store apply any "holiday" return polices to previous purchses.

If it is really a popular shirt I have one word for you..EBay.

When's It Gonna End?

AUTHOR: Cory - (U.S.A.)

You want to return something after ONLY 4 months. The guy bitching about garden ridge is complaining about the fact that they will ONLY give him a gift card for his full purchase 11 months LATER. The OP stated the nfl shop's REGULAR return policy IS 30 days and he DID buy it in August, yet he wants the holiday return policy. I didn't know August was in the holiday season. Lord, when's it gonna end? Due to such abuses, stores have been tightening their return polices.
