On three separate occasions, my check had not been posted by the 15th, even though I had mailed it at least seven days before. At that time the payments were mailed to Los Angeles and I live in Seattle. The CSR adamantly asserted that they post payments the day they are received. I told him that might be their policy, and he might even believe that, but it could not be true, since there is no way it takes seven days to get mail from Seattle to Los Angeles. I asked them to intercept my check and not deposit it for payment, because I had to pay online to avoid late fees. Of course, they did deposit the check each time. This resulted in a $10 fee each time for online payment, as well as $25 each time for stop payment fees at my credit union and $25 each time for returned check fees at Ocwen.
Another time they called me after I had paid online, claiming I had not properly entered my check number, resulting in a late fee of $48.53. During that phone call they "offered" several times to take my payment by phone, which carries an even larger fee than paying online. I declined, went right to my computer and paid online, and was still charged a late fee, plus an additional $10 online payment fee. I KNOW my check number was entered correctly the first time, and received a confirmation number, but the customer service rep indicated that didn't matter.
So now they show $123.58 for outstanding fees which I refuse to pay. I'm going to refinance (NOT WITH OCWEN IN A THOUSAND, NO, IN A MILLION YEARS) and may be forced to pay that amount to clear my account. I'd sure like to not have to pay that.

Wow Gene... what a clever and insightful statement you have just made there! Now that we know that we are all truly in the presences of such greatness, someone who clearly possesses such overwhelming sensitivity, understanding and brilliant wilt. There could only one thing that I may say that will set things right again and show you the respect you truly deserve. Well! GO CRAWL BACK UNDER THAT PUTRID ROCK FROM WHICH YOU SLITHERED, YOU REVOLTING POOR EXCUSE OF HUMAN BEING!
BTW - Have a good day.

I go to MoneyGram, and pay the 9.95. That way there is a trail if I need one. I wouldn't even trust this rip-off company to pay on their web site.
