Ocwen has made an art form out of screwing hard working people over!

My biggest and ongoing problem with Ocwen is this "forced insurance" BS. I cannot begin to vent my frustrations over this matter, and once again, have been hit with this problem again this month!!! This is so bad, my insurance company has called and faxed them, but guess what.......NO RECORD of insurance?!!!!

I cannot fathom how a company has been allowed to keep "practicing" business is this manner. Ocwen would seemingly have the worse records ever kept by a company EVER. I mean, after repeated attempts to prove insurance from my SECOND insurance provider and they still cannot seem to catch on that we DO have insurance. One month is fine, then the month after...........here comes the forced insurance! Such BS!

Due to piling medical bills due to our first child having severe respitory problems along with some shady business practices of our "mortgage company", we had to file Chapter 13. During the bancruptcy period, Ocwen took one of our payments and applied it to "misc fees" without even bothering to notify us. Then the forced insurance began. All of a sudden, we were supposedly 3 months behind, while we THOUGHT we were current.

We provided all the documentation we had to our "lawyer", and he had us soooooo pumped about taking them to court, we attempted to do so......with no avail. Before we got the plan going, Ocwen sent us a foreclosure notice and we were on the defensive. Our "lawyer" still felt we had a case, but he turned into a blob of goo when we entered the courtroom.

At that point, frustrated with our legal system, we called the third person in charge of our account with Moss Codilis... blah blah blah.

With Moss Codilis and other guys, we agreed to settle without the lawyer's "help". They agreed to waive the bancruptcy fees, and we paid the dues in order to keep our house. Recently, we had put our house on the market, and these waived fees magically had reappeared! We tried to contact the Moss guy, and guess what.......after repeated calls, we never heard a word from them!

My only advise when dealing with Ocwen.......NEVER assume you are in good standing. ALWAYS stay well informed of where you stand, because you never know when a misc fee or forced insurance will sneak into your payments. Also, if you would like a good laugh, ask for a detailed transaction history from them!

Anyone who does not believe in Hell just needs to have Ocwen for a mortgage company!
