Old Republic Home Warranty Ripoff Old Republic not paying claims San Ramon California

I like many others, had purchased a home warranty from Old Republic Home warranty Company. I have worked with Old Republic several times in the past as a Real-Estate agent and have sold numerous polices, so it only made since to have my personal home covered as well.

We purchased our home August 16 and by October of the same year our A/C was having major issues. We called Old Republic and they sent out a tech and he said the unit was pretty rough but added Freon, within a day we were back in 90* heat. We called Old Republic back, they sent out someone else (after several days) and we were told the unit must be replaced, (definitely the outside and probably the inside also).

I contacted Old Republic (with their techs information) and they said that they would pay $500.00 for the problem. (I was quoted between $4,500 and $6,200) from their people. I called several times and spoke to managers and such but always received the same text book response.

I even discussed my Real-Estate affiliation with their company and the amount of people I have encouraged to purchase warranties, the sales person stated that , that was to bad and I should have known what I was selling. (I sure do now). I have since had the entire system replaced at a cost of $4200.00 (not a penny has been seen from old Republic, including the $500.00)

I have since hired an attorney to get answers but they have not answered his mail either (big surprise) I would love to hear directly from others who have been stung by Old Republic, if nothing else but to give them the name of a good attorney.
