I am not allowed to cancel or get a refund. I just called and was put on hold for hours and got the Phillapino call center with scripted responses.
We booked this trip on Wednesday, December 24th. I had my American Express Platinum travel agent , Janejenny A Chimbwanda ,on the line with me the entire time.
*We also had your Orbitz representative , along with Jane at Amex ,call directly to Scandal's property to make certain that the Honeymoon Room was all inclusive. We planned to go and get married and upon getting written confirmation from you, we booked our airline flights, cancelled our work obligations, implemented cell phone plans. The exact room was noted and confirmed. This process took nearly 3 hours.
*This was confirmed verbally with the American Express witness the entire time along with your representative who sent a written confirmation (see below for your confirmations to which we were both obligated to uphold).
*I contacted your representatives several times and there was not so much as a courtesy response made by your organization, although Sandra (badge # 66205) on December 27th promised to call me back by 10:30 that night.. She claimed that the delay was due to the Christmas Holiday, which I spent largely on the phone, on hold with Orbitz. Each call was no less than 1-3 hours on hold awaiting clarification. I book myself out at $275 per hour. Dr. D earns much more than 10Xs my rate. The $400 credit is not even 2 hours of my time of which I spent upwards of 10 hours attempting to confirm what was apparently an internet scam. I don't trust that it would even work.
Upon booking this non refundable room at your property, the airline tickets were purchased, ground transportation in all locations purchased.
Spoke to Sandra 66205 vowed and promised to call me back with resolve by 10:30 on Saturday Dec. 27 Not even a courtesy response.

I stopped getting names and badge numbers because not one of them had integrity to honor their word or help us. They spoke poor English and read from a script.
*Dr. D cancelled office hours to fly from New York directly to the Bahamas. I was to fly from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida along with my sister Tracy C, who also cancelled her trip (had non refundable Jet Blue air tickets as well as ground transportation and vacation time from her job as a pharmacist) as a result of this error and thwarted intention to be married while at the resort /honey moon suite. I am a professional musician and would normally work on NY Eve and make revenues upwards of $3000 for the night. We ended up with no plans to bring in the new year and no work.
This was my first and only experience with Orbitz and I am mortified that this took up so much of my valuable time ( hours of time on the cell phone (additional cost) on hold in attempt to verify this reservation which was a fraudulent sale. We purchased something that was NON REFUNDABLE YET IT DID NOT EXIST. That is fraud.
I am attempting to settle this matter between us while my fiancé' is fuming and embarrassed and looking to go back to New York and seek counsel. It's time to take responsibility for your error. The very least would be to offer the three of us a gratis trip in an attempt to right this terrible injustice.
