Orchard Bank secret unathorized billing of my card Ripoff Nevada
*Consumer Comment: Your account was opened when you applied....
*Consumer Suggestion: Relax
I applied for an Orchard Bank credit Card, and when I found out about all the fees the were involved in getting my card activated, I called and canclled it. Here it is almost a year later, and I found out that it was not cancelled and Orchard bank say I owe them $199.00. I called and it took days to get hold of a represatitive... when I finally did, she said she would cancle my card and remove the charges on my card...
My wife checked online about 2 weeks later and it's still not cancelled!!!!!! I am not paying them a cent.
Are there any lawyers out there filing a class action suit?
Please contact me. I want in.

....not when your card was activated. It did not matter if you actually went through the process of "activating" the card or not, but as soon as you applied and it was accepted then an account was opened. At that time, they had a right to charge fees, like an annual fee.
You should have read all the information about the credit card account before you applied for it. This information is readily available. Had you done that, you would not have this problem now.

It generally takes about 30 days to cancel a credit card account. Orchard is one of the better companies out there that supply credit cards to people with bad credit. The rep told you that she would remove the charges... 2 weeks isn't near enough time for them to cancel the account.
Plus, the only reason it took days to contact them is your impatience. You can count on being on hold sometimes for 20 minutes, other times you are helped immediately.
