In checking my credit card activity I found an unauthorized entry in the amount of $4.87, charged on 1/15/09. Since I had placed no order, I called the reference number on the charge and spoke with a "customer service" representative at a company identified as Overnight Genius.

After explaining that I did not place any order, he insisted that I did and that I would receive a package in the mail after which my account would be charged an additional $78.23 as a monthly subscription to their "service." He refused to divulge the email address from which the order was placed. I demanded that the original charge be reversed and that no additional charges be applied to my account. The individual I spoke with was obviously ready for my wrath because he calmly read from a script insisting that they had all of my correct credit card information including the CRV code. He told me that when I received the package, I could call back for return information.

I received the package on 1/16/09 and called again to say that I had refused delivery and that it was being returned. The "customer service" representative this time calmly read from another script indicating that they would not accept "Return to Sender" or "Refused by Addressee" packages from the Post Office. The only way to return a package was to get an RMA from them and then send it "First Class or better" and suggested a delivery confirmation. All ay MY expense.

This representative told me that the email address they had on file was agriculturenature@financier.com and that I had ordered a tutorial on How to Sell on EBAY. In checking the domain financier.com I found it to be a known fraudulent site that has victimized many people.

As a result of this situation I was forced to cancel my credit card and am still in the process of trying to get my refund. What is so unfortunate is that banks will pay disputed charges (even if the card holder is not charged) because it is more cost effective than taking legal action.
