Palisades Collections After 12 years on 8:51 Pm EST 10/25/2011 called me and said I have a balance of $271.14 on a closed AT&T account. Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey

I just received a phone call from this company in witch they told me that in 2004 they received  a delinquent account from AT&T Wireless. They said i owe $271.14 from the overdue account.

What's interesting is they had the correct # of an AT&T account that i closed and satisfied in 1999 when i switched to Nextel.....

When I called to check it out the automated system asked to look up my account by my SS #. yea right. 

I asked why if they had this since 2004 why are they contacting me for the first time now. 7 years later. and i haven't used AT&T in 12 years. The response was not an answer. I was simply told if i wish to dispute this i have to send a letter to an address she gave me.. "Po Box 1244 Englewood Cliffs NJ, 07632"
