Papa johns My paycheck was $791 gross I ended up getting $421 tips for taking out $121 I did not receive mileage of my pay stub but I'm sure it'll make more sense but something is very wrong here I'm a delivery driver I get paid $8.50 an hour plus tips plus $8 20 per mile after working 2 weeks my paycheck was $791 gross and I ended up getting and taking home $420 my mileage was not there and they took out $121 in tips LAS VEGAS Nevada

I'm a delivery driver for Papa Johns. Iron $8.50 an hour plus tips plus $1.20 per mile. I work 2 weeks about 50 hours and about 300 miles my gross was 791 and my net was $420 for two weeks and nobody there could explain to me why. That sounds about right after you account for taxes and withholdings
$8.50/hr x 50 hours = $425
$1.20/mile x 300 miles = $360
Total Net = $785 (so your $791 is about right if you had just over 50 hours)
Depending in your Withholding Status, having anywhere from 30%-50% taken out for the required deductions is normal. Now, you are approaching the 50% side and that is on the higher side and not as likely(but still possible) for your income level.
However, all of your deductions are required to be itemized on your Pay Stub. You will see things such as FICA(Fed Tax), Medicare, Insurance...
