the company offers a low price guarantee match or beat on their website and gives all the details to qualify.

However, after you place your order they then send you an order summary stating in order to qualify for the low price guarantee you must have placed an order by phone with a direct sales representative.

This qualifier (after your order) disqualifies the online order just placed on their website.

This information should be available on their website as part of the criteria to qualify, but it is not.

I had no way to know that the order had to be placed by phone until after the order confirmation was given.

Also, along with the confirmation is a disclaimer that once your order confirmation is given, it can't be canceled.

Price Match Honored

AUTHOR: Sugarpaw - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, November 29, 2007

I just wanted to take the time to update this thread. PartsTrain did finally honor their gaurantee, today. Although, I did have to complain to them, to the BBBB and posted here.

While I am bothered that they wasted a great deal of my time, I must also give them recognition for doing the right thing, IMO. Mike

Parts Train Low price Guarantee (cont.)

AUTHOR: Sugarpaw - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, November 11, 2007

I submitted a request for the low price guarantee using the form on their website. It list all the criteria that you must meet to qualify.

However, it conveniently omits the fact that they don't price match online orders. (So why would this form be online when they don't even price match online orders?)

I wrote the company a short note explaining all the details that I've described in my complaints.

I received a reply from their customer service below:

"Good day, Our apologies for the inconvenience but we have to stick to our policy. We can only price match at the point of sale. Thank you.

Jeremy"

So.....they are still refusing to honor their low price guarantee or price match because I placed my order online.

Which, would be fine if this was stated in the criteria for the conditions, but it is only after the order is placed and confirmed that you receive an e-mail stating online orders will not be price matched.

That's the whole problem I have with them is they are using deceptive marketing practices, in my opinion. I feel ripped off and scammed!
