A few weeks ago I took my children to get their halloween costumes at this store. We finally got the costumes and after my Daughter tried one on, I decided to get a bigger size without her trying it on. I payed for the costumes and went home.

The other day, my Daughter tried on her costume and I noticed that the inflatable wings (Tinker Bell costume)did not come with the straps needed to hold them up and the wings also had holes already ripped in them where the straps were supposed to go. I called Party City and told them the problem and that I did not have the reciept as I misplaced it. After seeing this nearly $25.00 costume I thought they would be understanding and at least give me a store credit. NOT A CHANCE!

I told them nicely that I didn't think this costume was worth that money and that I didn't want the money back but just a store credit or exchange. I was told my a MANAGER of all people that he could only let me exchange it for the same costume and that is it! He was rude and just plain nasty about it and treated me like I was lying about this and destroyed this costume on my own!
My husband went out yesterday and ran in there for me to see if they had another Disney Tinker Bell in her size and they didn't. He couldn't find anyone to help him and left.

I am now stuck with a costume that part of it is useless!
It's very upsetting to know that a manager of a store cannot treat the customers fairly and at least handle it in a different way! I don't think I was treated fairly and he could have had a better attitude!

I'm a sales associate at Party City and I've worked through Halloween. I'm sorry you had such a bad experience. Had it been my store, I know a store credit would have been given. The problem is a lot of Party City's are franchises. They have the name, but not necessarily the policies that a corporate store would have.
