Peoplepc ripoff dishonest, fraudulent billing ripoff San Francisco California

I tried Peoplepc's free one month trial, and when I called to cancel before the end of the month, their rep offered me an additional 2 months free to stay with them as a secondary service provider(I DID get documentation of this).

Peoplepc then informed me at the end of the first month of their "free trial" that they had begun to bill me (the money had already been withdrwan from my bank account). When I called Peoplepc and talked to them about the situation, explaining to them that I had documentation of the extension of the free trial, they told me that the rep "wasn't authorized to do that, and they would talk to him", but that the charges would stay.

Then, when I asked them to cancel the service immediately and refund the money (or any unused portion of the service)due to their failure to abide by the agreement, since they are responsible for any agreement entered into by their employees on their behalf (as per business law), they issued a confirmation number for the cancellation TO TAKE EFFECT IN 5 MONTHS (for a total of $49.95, which they still refused to refund). I am contesting the charge, and still fighting for the refund.

Evidently, if you deal with this company, you cannot trust ANYTHING they represent to you, even if you have documentation of the agreement. Therefore, I recommend that anyone avoid any dealings with them, and instead go with a REPUTABLE provider.
