ForeverHome Pet Rescue is a thrid party adoption agency for cats and dogs who show their pets for adoption at PetCo. My husband and I purchased a black and white cat we believed to be 2 years old. We were told he had no serious health issues.
He was extremely thin! He looks fat to us now compared to then (a year ago) and he only weighs 8 pounds now. After a full vet check-up due to recurring urinary problems, we discovered that he has a serious heart condition that the vet said would have been obvious at any vet check-up since birth. Also, they said he must be much older than 3 years old based on his teeth.
We were lied to and now we're incurring major medical expenses. Not cool! I don't recommend PetCo adoptions or ForeverHome adoption agency to anyone.

Sounds like your complaint lies with ForeverHome. Petco only has viewable pets from shelters and does not have a vet to check their health. They are stuck with what they have been told, just as you were.
