This is about Cavia Porcellus. Most people say they are "Guinea Pigs" but I am going to refer to them as Cavia Porcellus or just Cavia for this report.
On August 22, 2018 I went to a Pet Smart to get a male cavia. I am also going to mention that they included his female siblings in the same sales window. They lied to me saying that every one of them are males. As I only planned for one cavia, I decided to get him, separating him from the females. He is still alive and is growing. I do not have a large complaint about this experience but I thought I shouild mention it first to let every body know.
On November 10th, 2018. I went to a different PetSmart as they are supposed to keep the males and females separate from each other. I went to get a female Cavia. I was going to try to get two but I decided not to as there were only three in the same window, leaving one behind. I only took one. The most beautiful Cavia that resembled others I had a long time ago. Thus I named her Cinnamon just as the other ones. She even acted like we knew each other before we even met. It was not only her colour, Even her entire behaviours were identical to others that had the same solid tan colour.
The sale, or what I prefer to call it The Adoption Fee, was difficult also. One of the cashiers tried to charge me regular price instead of the promotional. As I had left to go get more money, when I returned the other cashier asked me over to his register and honored the promotional. I must let every body know about this issue also. When you go to PetSmart on Stemmons in Lewisville, you might encounter diffiulty with the cashiers.
Also, these people have my information. They want my address. They want my telephone. They want my gmail. They also want my name. They have the transaction recorded. I had to fill out the information and sign it. They have every purchase I ever made at PetSmart any where. This means that I am going to demand a refund, credit, coupon, basically a "replacement" cavia. Of course I do not want to use the word replace either.
I thought that she would live at least 3 years. If I really tried, perhaps 6. Cartainly NOT expecting not much more than TWO MONTHS.
