Petsmart Overcharged Stevenson Ranch California

  On 09/13/16 I visited Petsmart in Stevenson Ranch, CA 91381. I purchased 1 lb. package of Freshpet Vital PURE Adult Dog Food. The item was priced online and well as in-store for $7.99. The transaction receipt errantly listed the sale price at $8.99 instead of $7.99. I was overcharged $1.00 plus 9% tax. On the same day, I completed an online survey and gave Petsmart, very high marks, based on my overall shopping experience. I was promised a reply within two days, but unfortunately no one responded to this error. I resubmitted my complaint several times to no avail. Today (10 days later) I called "Petsmart" and spoke with customer service. I was told that my complaint would have to be referred to Petsmart Corporate office to be resolved. My prior experiences at Petsmart were non-plus, but after this negative experience I will find another retailer. Petsmart's capability to resolve complaints in a timely manner deserves a D- or F at best. Some may think that a complaint regarding a $1 coding error is nit picking or a waste of time, but take into account that thousands of transactional errors and how this unnecessarily cheats the public.
