My problems began Dec. 11. 2008. (last year) I sent Planet Mobility the order and money for an electric scooter and have received nothing but idle promises and several long waits on the telephone... a diversion I've evidently shared with others that have written to you.

We've, fortunately, kept records of the calls WE'VE made and the word "unresolved" sits at the end of most of them... Actually, we were told that the "Scooter would be in the mail" twice (three times counting the initial order), but have never received anything... not even a phone call or an easy-to-write e-mail ! This leads me to believe this worldwide internet corporation is in-trouble or that it's a well thought-out business plan being executed.

I've referred two other members of my Multiple Sclerosis yoga class, who purchased scooters from them, but was informed that they'd not received all they were promised either. I had purchased another scooter from them in 2007 and a few of their promised "freebees" were never received.

This transaction has been, going-on, three months + since they've had my money and I still don't know if I'll ever see the scooter. I've requested the return of my money, via a certified letter, but I've yet to hear from them.

Our next-to-the-last call to them was on 2/26/09 and we were told we'd be receiving a new scooter... again, nothing... (We've been told that twice and have always believed them for some reason.) That's it... They're not to be believed. We've always been courteous and always offered them the high road, but...

To other disabled or elderly peoples desiring Planet Mobility's products or services, please be aware of the aggravation in doing so. { We've just placed another inquiry call to them (3/12/09), but the line went dead... again. } Thank you for your concern.

In all fairness, I'm quick to complain, and must make an addendum to my complaint. Yesterday afternoon, I received my scooter. It was not the refurbished one I'd paid for, but a "brand new one" that sold for almost twice the cost.

I'd like to say that Mike Woods did tell me the absolute truth when he told me I'd love my new scooter.... The three month long buying experience was horrid but... Michael was correct about his product... I love my new Trailblazer, by Shoprider. Thanks, Planet Mobility, for finally paying-off.

I wish all well.
