  Since this is a factory rebate (not an in-store rebate), you buy two, fill out the ridiculous paperwork, send it in, and they send you the rebate for the second bottle that you purchased.   It doesn't sound that complicated to me.  It maximizes your purchase of the product, which is why they offered the rebate in the first place.

    I understand that you would have liked it to work a different way, but that is what you should expect from these rebate offers.  That's mostly why I don't bother with them at all.  They're more trouble than their worth and half the time the third party rebate processor loses or denies the rebate anyway.   I do not take into account any rebate when making a purchase decision.   That's a sucker bet.

So exactly how were ripped off? That's the way most things like that work. If you'd tried to get your refund at the cash register and were refused, then that's a rip off. I don't like it, either, but that's how the world works.
