Publishers Business Services Publishers Business Services Company calls for "survey", then charges $700 shipping/handling for mag subscription arrive and won't cancel Henderson Nevada

Had recently just started my new job in fall of 2007 and received a call from Publishers Business Services Company in spring of 2008 to inquire about a survey. I was asked how long I'd been working and how I pay for things by check or credit etc. and was asked for my home address to receive some magazines. I asked if it I could not receive or cancel the order and the person replied yes after the first month, but the magazines came to my house after the first month anyways.

They did not have my home number and repeatedly called my work number for the shipping/handling payments of two months. I tried to explain that I did not want a subscription and wanted to cancel. Was told I couldn't unless I paid the full $700 shipping/handling fees of the next two years. I spoke with a supervisor and was told that he could half the fee into 3month payments of appx $100-125. After trying to get another number to contact me, I told them I was working and they left me a number to call back and confirm payments.

I went ahead a paid for the two months of mags I received to get them off my back with paypal and a note to cancel my account. Thankfully they do not have my home number and I have simply been ignoring the letters. I have since then transfered to a new work place for other reasons but invoices/magazines are still arriving and are increasingly threatening my credit.
