Publishers Business Services answer survey questions for free gift, then they say that you have signed up for magazine subscription. Henderson Nevada

I received a call at work asking me if I agreed to magazine subscriptions and received a bill(with my name misspelled) at work for magazines. I did not take a phone call at work answering survey questions for magazines, one of my ex-co-workers finally confessed to using my name to do this after my leaving the business. When I asked why she done it, she said "'cause you make me mad and I wanted to get back at you!"

There is no way that I can afford this outrageous amount for magazines that I will never read(I changed jobs shortly after this incident happened), and why would I buy magazines to be delivered to a business that I am getting ready to leave!

I've worked hard to earn my good credit and I don't need something like this(identity theft) to ruin it, I e-mailed the company to cancel this subscription because of what I found out, but have not received any word back from them, and they kept me on hold for 28 minutes when I finally had to hang up to get some work done.

I want an apology from this company in writing and to know why they don't have better security checks on whom they are speaking with(especially with recordings) that this identity theft is allowed. How can this in the future be avoided with all of the identity theft that is happening?
