Quest Diagnostics Quest Outrageous bill Nationwide

For the past several years, I've been constantly sick - cold like symptoms  and some other luggage that nobody could figure out. Finally found a doctor who had an idea what could had gone wrong. She requested over 30 tests specifically from Dynalab or Quest Diagnostics.

Usually, I use Dynalab because they are very efficient and cost savvy. This time, for no apparent reason I went to Quest. If only I could possibly predict what came next... The total bill for this visit was $5,969, and after insurance adjustments $2,530!

This made me very upset because little money I had saved for the treatment now is in jeopardy. To give you a good comparison, for standard T3/T4 test that I always was around $30 at Dynalab, Quest charged $482 which after adjustment it still came to $290 which is more than 9 times higher!

Called Quest, spoke with 2 assistants. First one, after yelling "WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO ABOUT THIS???!!!" transferred me, and by the time second one answered (overall near to 30 min waiting), I was crying probably because it became more clear to me that I will have to interrupt treatment in a middle because of inability to pay the bills. Anyway, the second person was just as rude as the first one. She said "you need to calm yourself down before calling us". I said that I was not crying during first conversation, but now it is hard for me not to. This person yelled at me for hte duration of the call. THough the yelling she informed me that there is nothing she can do and that proces and Dynalab are not her concern.

Shame on you, Quest Diagnostics!
