Promised a dream vacation after spending well over $800.00 for a package that included 5 star hotel accomodations in orlando, carnival cruise to the Bahamas with 5 star accomodations at arrival.
What we got was a night at a Holiday Inn, located on a major street under construction, where we were afraid to even venture out of our room due its choice in occupants. Our 5 star room was a double bed, filthy carpet,scum-filled bathroom and stunk of body odor.
We also had to attend a one hour convention (that wasn't mentioned in the package deal) to get this hotel room. The convention was another money taking scheme that we did not fall for this time. We were treated horribly when we refused their scam and muscled out of the room so no other unsuspecting family(victim)became suspicious.
As for the cruise we were promised, it also has stipulations we were not made aware of.
We have tried to get our money returned, even partially, but they refuse and say our "Dream Vacation" is only transferrable. Why would I ever want to give this away to someone else so thet too could fall victim to their scams?

Do a search here on under the company Ramada and see all the horrible ordeals many have experienced along with you. I took the vacation back in February of this year and I can sympathize with all that you have said (you can read my extremely long tale on this site also). Within 3 weeks I did get a refund after a lot of letter writing and determination. Here are the contacts I made and the numbers I was able to collect. Give it a try and hopefully you can get all or at least some of your money back from these scum bags.

Good luck - like I said - I got my money back in 3 weeks credited back to my credit card. The Florida Dept of Agri contacted Ramada Plaza along with my letters and was refered to Mr Lambert and his snotty Admin. From what I understand, he was the decision maker in the refund.
