A simple magazine subscription has led to big problems.  They give your name and number to every other magazine service and then come back at you saying you still owe them for the first one.

HOW has that happened?  Because they automatically renew you, and tell you after you can cancel.

Then another service calls, using the same or different name and says that you owe for magazines and they have all your information.  So you have to pay.  It adds up.

Now I keep a record of any call and their name, phone number, agent name, etc.  Twice calls have demanded that I renew my card number with them because of some  "agent error".  I am ignoring them, hopefully with no problems.

Platinum Reader Magazines Pyramid Scam

AUTHOR: Richard - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, August 10, 2016

I'm still getting called regarding magazines that I haven't ordered in years because they automatically renew them to expired credit card numbers. They called me to say that I owed them at least $600 in un-ordered magazine subscriptions because they placed them automatically, using computer technology.

I'm also getting offers from a mortgage company because of this scam. They think I'm the homeowner, not my father. The mortgage company apparently got my phone number from the magazine company.

I get orders every month even though I'm not getting these magazines, and I'm mad because this scam is a pyramid designed to force me into heavy debt and possible jail sentences. This problem needs to be stopped ASAP.

Platinum Reader Magazines Scam

AUTHOR: Richard - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, July 01, 2016

I have been getting lots of calls from representatives representing Charisma Magazine who are actually not from that company. Instead, they come from Platinum Reader Magazines or National Magazine Enterprises, Inc. They want to automatically renew my subscriptions to Charisma and other magazines without even telling me about them.

This is costing me hundreds of dollars per month to try to stop this manipulation, but they keep it up. Also, they pass my name and phone number-my home number-to a mortgage company which wants me to have the money I need to pay off these bills. That leads to bills on the mortgage itself.

They also want to re-process charges that come from credit card numbers that I have cancelled in the past. This also costs me a lot of money.

Please investigate this situation and notify me if there are any solutions or problems. Thank you.
