I received a charge on my bank account for $21.95 from a company called Roadside assistance. When I called the company, it stated that I applied for a 7 day free trial on Roadside assistance. Which I never recall doing. As a single mother of two I can barely afford paying the bills now, let alone pay for some roadside assistance. If I wanted Roadside assistance, I would do this through my insurance company. Anyway, I called the company and I spoke with Jessica and at first she was polite and then turned rude. She said she wouldn't reverse the charges because I didn't cancel my membership in the seven days. She supposedly cancelled it then and gave me a confirmation number. Like this means anything.
After that conversation, I received a call from a private name and number. I never answer private name, but I was upset and ready to holler at someone. This person was from Credit Plus and said that I am approved for a $7500 credit card and a $500 loan. He said that I would be charged a one time fee of $129.95. I told him I was not interested and he hollered at me, you want money but don't want to pay for it. And then proceeded to hang up on me.

Since all of this has gone on, I have contacted my bank and they are going to credit me the $21.95 and investigate. I now have to close out my account and open another one which is going to cost me money I don't have due to having to order more checks and wait for them in the mail. All due to my "stupidity" and believing everyone in the world is honest.
I have also contacted my local news and the Kansas authorities.

Please everyone be careful and don't fall like I did. Drive your car to your nearest store to apply for a loan.
