In the past yesr i purchased many parts from rockauto for a collectible car. An AC low pressure switch developed a referigerant leak within the warranty period. Initated a warranty return / replacement that was somewhat challenging, links popped open new tabs, jumped through hoop after hoop, and was finally presented with the rma and shipping label.

Sent the defective part via postal service and in about two weeks a huge box was delivered. Opening the box revealed an AC hose for a Ford. Snapped a photo of the box and hose, sent an email to rock auto explaining the wrong item shipped and enclosed the photo. A few hours later received an email stating use the return form on their website. But there was no way to initate a return, or send a message through their website.

Frustrated i went to customerlobby.com (rockauto.com review site) and left a truthful 2 star review explaining the situation. Apparantly the review was not posted, I could not find my review within the date posted. Customerlobby.com does not offer a method to sort by stars, that i could see or find. I had placed a post on rockauto.com Facebook page that was promptly deleted.

Two days later i received an email from rockauto with a return shipping label, it was so big it would take two sheets of paper to print out, not counting the canned response email. The next day i receive a request from customerlobby.com to remove my review. They stated if i did not reply within 7 days they would delete my review on their own. Not good business period. I will eat the $23 switch, and will probably not purchase from rockauto.com again. docsplace.org/4358/07/rockauto-review-non-friendly-returns/
