Ryland Homes, The Ryland Group, Inc. EXTORTION: Ryland wants an additional $20,000, dishonest ripoff home builders Orlando Florida

Ryland refuses to sell us what was going to be our "dream home" (3,500 sq. ft, bonus room, game room, den, 3 car garage, oversized lot), saying that I had to pay them an ADDITIONAL $20,000 for the lot! I already agreed to pay them their non-negotiable lot price of $30,000! That now make the lot $50,000! By the way, the lot next door sold for $30,000!

Ryland advertised this lot for the price I agreed to pay for it over 2 weeks ago. Weeks after signing Ryland's non-negotiable contract and agreeing to pay Ryland's non-negotiable price for the house and lot, Ryland management decides that our lot sold too fast and that they can get more money for it. When we told Ryland that we would not qualify for a mortgage if the price was raised $20,000, Ryland refused to sign the non-negotiable contract that Ryland prepared! Ryland's Division President, Larry T. Nicholson, even wrote us a letter saying "Ryland is unable to accommodate a prospective homeowner who wants to take advantage" of Ryland. Like Ryland's the victim! This is simply OUTRAGEOUS!!!

We want every consumer in America to know about these dishonest practices by Ryland. Just imagine if you decided to build your dream home and you executed the builder's non-negotiable contact and you agreed to pay the builder's non-negotiable prices, then that builder coming to you and saying that the builder will not sell you your dream home unless you pay them an additional $20,000! What would you do?

Ryland Homes is a ripoff artist! Plus, we are informed that Ryland builds an inferior product and has poor service. Buyer Beware!!!
