Ryobi power tools (bought by home depot several years ago) are advertised as professional quality and they are not. A circular saw (skill saw) commonly used in construction trades should have as a basic requirement, a cutting blade that is PARALLEL to the base, or foot, or shoe of the saw. I received my first ryobi skill saw as a gift, and after several uses, couldn't tell exactly what was wrong with the resulting cuts , or why maintaining a straight line cut was difficult. Finally, after looking on the bottom of the base (that contacts the material being cut) I noticed that all the scratches made by rough materials being cut (shingles), were not in line with the blade. When the SECOND saw (Ryobi rep upgraded the saw for me) was unable to cut a 1x6" board off square (even being held firmly against a swanson square), I measured the distance from one side of the blade to the edge of the base, and found that the blade AGAIN was not in line with the base. This is the saw with the laser-beam giiding light and all other bells and whistles. One home depot associate informed me that full credit would be given me, so I took it to the store and wasted over an hour learning that this info wasn't correct. They didn't even have a telephone # for the regional representative. This is a quality control issue, and it's quality, of course, being sacrificed. Ryobi has quality control issues of this magnitude should tell anyone familiar with using a saw, that this isn't a professional quality product. A straight and square cut can only be made by maintaining the human eye on the blade meeting the cut  line. Very frustrating, and of course, that's why the price is half what I paid originally. Not professional grade tools.
