Sanyo Defective Camera, Can't reach anyone by phone or email Chatsworth, California

I bought a used Sanyo VPC T700 7.0 MP camera to give to my daughter and wanted to buy a new one for myself, because this little camera worked really nice for a while. The LCD Screen went bad. I started checking ebay for the same camera and almost everyone that was up for sale had the same problem.

Sanyo might have had a good product here but it had a flaw. So I've have been trying to reach them for two weeks with no luck. I tried emailing them a couple of times with a promise from them that I would hear something in 24 hours and that didn't happen. So I tried calling them several times and I get put on hold until they hang up. I did reach someone today and ask to speak to someone in repair and she asked what item I was talking about so she supposedly put me through to someone with the same hold message. Again I held on until they hung up.

From what I can see is Sanyo sold a camera thru WalMart and it was a bad camera. A lot of people have purchased them and possible tried to get them fixed and couldn't because Sanyo isn't standing behind their products, so the customers are now trying to sell them to someone else.

The camera does take good pictures but you can"t see what you are taking and you can't change the setting because you can't see the screen. I'm just glad I didn't go and buy a new one about 2 weeks ago when I was at Walmart. The price of the camera in the beginning was $149.99 but when I checked 2 weeks or so ago it was reduced about $25.00 or so. It's sad because this was a nice camera. I also have a sister-in-law who bought one but she doesn't take too many pictures so she probably hasn't noticed anything yet, But I feel she will.
