I was contacted in June 2004 about the great deal Satellite Systems Network was offering on DirecTV service, installation and promotional items. My husband and I signed up and everything seemed to work fine.

A month later they charged me $99.00 for the warranty contract which I did not sign up for. I got the charge reversed, closed the account so that it wouldn't happen again.

In May I contacted them about the promotional package and was told that I did not send it the redemption form. I got the redemption form, send it in wil all the required paperwork. On 5.20.2005 I called to get an update or ship date of the promotional package and was told that they did receive my completed paperwork on 5.12.2005 and everything should ship by 5.23.2005.

I did not receive anything by 6.2.2005 so I called again and spoke to Eric. He told me that everything was received (which I already knew) and that the package is backordered and will ship at the end of July. So I called again around 6.20.2005 to make sure everything was still on track and was informed that the delivery date was pushed back to 8.15.2005 because they did not receive their orer yet.

Then I called back today (7.28.2005) just to check again and their rep Ron informed me that it would be early September before anything would ship. I noticed today that Satellite Systems Network changed their 800 number, the number I was given by DirecTV in May was 800-788-5332 which I called and there was no answer for the past few days. I came across the number listed in this report through a web search listing of this site. I also emailed DirecTV to see if there is any way to sanction Satellite Systems Network for false advertising.

UPDATE on Satellite Systems Network

AUTHOR: Eva - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, August 15, 2005

After emailing both Satellite Systems Network and Directv I was contacted by Directv and informed that Satellite Systems Network in no longer a authorized Directv distributor and they would look into the Home Entertainment System issue. A few days later I got an email from Laryssa at Satellite Systems Network. She said that they were in a backorder status at the moment and the system would ship as soon as they received them. On 8.4.2005 I had a box waiting for me at work with the system in it.
