I ordered a cover with Seal Skin in August 2015. As I was on the website I clicked on the live chat box so that the customer service representative could help me find the correct cover for my 20ft boat. I ordered the cover they suggested and when I received it the cover was incorrect. It fit too big. I contact the customer support via emaila nd they sent out a new cover. That cover fir perfectly.
April 6, 2016, I decided to contact the customer service again to get a new cover under the 10 year warranty I have because over the last 10 months the cover has been deteriorating. The cover was falling apart inside and the foam lining on it was breaking off and damaging my seats. I sent back my current cover and they sent me a new cover.
When I put the replacement cover on it did not fit the boat. It was way too big on the boat. I contacted them to let them know that maybe they sent me the 1st cover that I ordered back in August 2015 which was inccorect. The customer servcie representative made me read the SKU # to her and told me that it was the correct cover. I explained to her that I understand but it's incorrect, and does not fit. She told me the most she could do is send me directions on how to put the cover on correctly.
On June 17,2016 I tried calling back and speaking to the manager. I spoek to James who said he was the manager and explained the entre story to him from the beginning. He told me plain and simple that the cover they sent me is correct and there is nothing they can do. I asked if I could send them pictures so that they can see the cover is too big or if I could send it back and they can help me get the correct cover becaue right now for the last 2 montsh I have no cover and my boat is being damaged by the sun. He told me "No and that is the final cover." I asked tehn if I could send the cover back and get my money back and he said "No you have had the cover for a while now". I asked him what I could do then because I am stuck with a cover that doesn't fit so its useless. He said nothing and that the cover I have is correct.
I find it proposterous that you buy a cover with a 10 year warranty and when you need help with a cover that obviously doesn't serve its purpose and is allowing your boat to get damaged, you hit a roadblock. That is not honoring their warranty. If the cover fit correctly I wouldn't be dealing with the aggrevation and wasting my time.
I would never order from them again and I don't recommend anyone to buy a cvover from them. I spent over $300 for a cover that I used 8 months and now I cannot get any assistance from the company. I am willing to cooperate as much as possible to find a resolution but they are not interested in helping.
