To my disappointment, I could get blood from a turnip easier than getting my money Sears stole. They withdrew from my checking account two (2) payments; one (1) was authorized, the second was not. This action caused numerous checks to be NSF.

I was told they would reimburse me the second (2) unauthorized payment PLUS the total amount of the NSF checks.

Well let me tell you, they do not up hold their word!

It is going on two (2) and a half months now and they did send me a check to recover the second payment, but no check for the NSF!

I have more paper trail than the White House on this.
Whatever they want to do to us they will, but I won't shut up until I am completely satisfied.

Not Everyone is Rich

AUTHOR: Patty - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, March 03, 2004

I am a bit disturbed about Paul's response. Why is it anyone's responsibility to have extra funds in their savings/checking for something like this. Maybe the payment was for $1,000 and they billed them twice. Even say they had an extra $500 in their account. Yet not enough money to cover up SEARS mess up.

I have had this happen to me before with a restaurant. I immediately called them and it was rectified immediately. They not only called the bank and released the funds to be used again. They also paid for my NSF in cash, in person. They also gave me a free full course meal so that they could keep me as a customer. Granted the free meal was nice, but not necessary. This restaurant prides themselves on Customer Service and they did just that.

I dont think anyone has to pay the price of their bills not being paid on time cause of someone else's screw up.

Shawangunk hasn't learned to read yet, Sears DOES owe this consumer

AUTHOR: John - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, December 24, 2003

Hey Shawangunk (yeah, we know it's you) -- the consumer said Sears promised to refund the NSF fees, and Sears did not. Therefore, Sears DOES owe this consumer. If you'd learn to read through posts completely instead of flying to the keyboard to file your drivel, you'd know that. Get back under your rock and shut up.

And Sears is at fault because ....

AUTHOR: Paul Pickle - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, December 24, 2003

It is clear that Sears has already reimbursed you for their double-billing error. Why - pres tel - do you expect anything else in the way of monetary compensation?

Perhaps you could be so kind as to explain to us the following:

1- Why is it Sear's fault that you keep minimal funds in your bank account (ie, not enough to cover yourself in the event of overdrafts)?

2- And why is it Sear's fault that you never signed up for Overdraft Protection with your bank?

They have paid you for their error. They do not owe you anything else.
