Me and my wife are a very unwealthy people and we stop by a local gas station on summit and 17th ave in columbus we don't typically stop there but on New Years morning we did and we parked at the laundry mat across from the shell gas station while we went inside we didn't see no visible towing sign at all so we went inside the gas station and shopped for 4 mins and as we were checking out a shamrock towing person towed our car away. We chased after it and then called into their company the lady was very rude and disrespectful to us. We told her that our car was towed and she said we had to pay a fee of 109.65 after tax because they stored it for 5 mins after we got there. At the same time my wife is pregnant and it's not the best way to have a New Year's Day then when we paid them and picked the car up they said have a happy new year and I was just like really I'm supposed to have a happy New Year's Day after you made me pay all my pay check to you and you ripped me off like a criminal

TYG wrong, Nasty Abusive, as usual

I've done enough Police towing to know how.

My part time boss sets the following benchmarks for me to keep my job.

Parking Tow, from the time the tow Truck is behind (or in front of) the car untill you are rolling out is required to be less that 1 minute (gone in 60 seconds), including deploying lift.

Strap down less than 2 minutes, done when Vehicle is out of original parking spot, If safe a couple blocks away. (Yes its against the law, don`t care, no damage, no foul)

Dolly jobs for AWD etc 5 minutes straped down and gone.

So you are abusing the OP for Lieing about the time parked and that he caused the tow. Bad boy and wrong.

The fact is he was targeted by a preditory towing company with the help of a scum landlord or busines owner.

Preditory towing is a serious problem for many cities. Thankfully our City does not allow this. Police, or Peace Officers (parking enforcement) have to call and provide the tow company a Ticket number with Vehicle info.

Cuts down on garbage, confentations, cancelled cheques and credit card disputes.

We accept almost all Credit cards and plastic.

Tyg have a rotten day, Every one else Have a Happy 2016

You expect us all to believe that YOU were ONLY in there for four mins. Did you even think through what YOU typed?? It takes atleast 2-3 mins to drop the tow bar down then about another 3-6 mins to secure the vehicle. So OBVIOUSLY you were there far longer then the 4 mins you CLAIM! Still doesnt change the fact that YOU were parked someplace you should not have and got towed because of THAT! Why did you park where you did? If you were using the services of the business you parked in front of then you wouldnt be towed. But YOU seem to think that YOU can park on ANYONES property and shouldnt be expected to be punished for doing so. Take some responsibility for YOUR actions, you know instead of acting like some petulent teenager looking for ANY excuse to absolve YOU of the mistake YOU made. i understand about being broke and the MAJOR hassle it is to be towed. But it was by YOUR actions you were towed. YOU can sit there and blame everyone else. From the tow truck driver to the business you parked in front of, but NONE of those people were behind the wheel when YOU CHOSE to park where you did. YOU ASSUMED and when you assume you do so at your own risk. Get over it and learn from it. YOU have NOT been ripped off. YOU were inconvienced by being towed for parking where YOU CHOSE to. Nothing more. You have a kid on the way, maybe start acting like a responsible adult.
