Shannon Did careless driving and caused my brother to be hospitalized Tampa, Florida

In October of 2009, while my brother was riding his bicycle on a street in Tampa, Florida heading towards Ybor City, Florida, a woman named Shannon rushed through the light, that my brother was crossing, and hit a car. That car spun around and pinned my brother against another car.  He suffered a broken pelvic area, is still comatosed today, and has a broken ankle.  She was not paying attention to the road and its conditions.  She had borrowed someone else's car. The insurance in the State of Florida is terrible when it comes to bodily injury on another person.

My brother is the youngest of six sibblings.  He didn't deserve the pain and suffering he is going through, and we don't have the money to cover his hospital bills.  He may or may not make it, and the laws need to be changed in Florida for people who drive and injure other people. 

While we, his family, suffer mentally and fiancially to take the trip from up North to down South to see our brother, she suffers "nothing."  She only received a ticket or careless driving, but she deserves more than that. She deserves to get her license taken away, and she needs to be in jail.  If our brother dies, it is the same as lst degree manslaughter.

My brother has suffered all his life, and while his life was starting to show a difference, she took his life away.  She should be starting a plan to get money to pay his bills.  The State of Florida should not be paying for it.  She caused this damage. She should be made accountable for it.

I pray for her that she tries to make some sort of recovery in this matter.
