Sirius Satellite radio, in an attempt to curry favor for their proposed merger with XM canceled, without notice, the very popular Stephanie Miller program.
Progressive listeners of Sirius realize that their lone channel (146)--as opposed to the many "right wing" leaning channels (FOX, CNBC, CNN) has many weak and ineffective talkers.
Stephanie Miller and her cohorts provided a very intelligent, humorous and popular program that rankled many on the right.
Sirius has cancelled the program and replaced it with four hours of basic drivel.
I intend to cancel my two Sirius subscriptions as the only reason I subscribed was to listen to this program which is unavailable in any other format in our rural location.
Sirius, despite promises to respond in 24 hours has not done so and as a publicly held company, supposedly required to be profit driven has abandoned their responsibility to their stockholders.
I will not only cancel my subscription but write the FTC opposing the merger.
