I took my daughter to Smart Styles located in (Brier Creek)Walmart on 02/05/2012 to get a touch up perm, blow dry/flat iron. I dropped her off just before 3pm. When I returned from shopping around 5:05pm. The Hair Stylist Candice said "she was just finishing up with the flat iron". To my surprise and disgust my daughters hair looked frizzy as if she had been out in the rain or something. Candice tried to tell me it was because "my daughter needed a perm all the way through her hair". 

My flat iron at home was better than the one she was using. I stressed my disappointment and dislike and she assured me that she would TRY to get it right the next day if I came back. I went home that evening and didn't evening mention to my husband that I had just spent $50 on my daughters hair.. In fear that he would have a fit after looking at the condition her hair was left in!

I went back over her whole head with my own flat iron and I must say "I might as well have just paid myself" Lol!! Candice definitely needs to switch brands or get a new flat iron. The next day however, I did call up the salon and Candice informed me that after speaking to her manager.. She was not going to TRY and fix/redo my daughters hair because she had already given my a discount of $10 off the charge of the service. Wow, how unprofessional does it get?!?

Shame on you Candice!! Hopefully they will send her back to school to relearn what she missed! 

On the flip side, I called corporate to file a complaint. Crystal or Kristen?? was very polite when taking my complaint and offered me a gift card in the amount of my purchase to use at another location because God knows I couldn't handle a repeat offense at that location!( I could literally feel my blood pressure rising)

I definitely not return to this salon, but I will give it a try at another location.
