I signed what I was told was a "12-month membership" in June of 2017. I had been making payments using a credit card because a credit card was the only method of payment they accept. (this should have set off alarm bells, but then, I was told the contract was for 12 months so I figured 12 months was okay. )

After checking my charges, I found the monthly membership had been charged by Snap, but also noticed a separate charge, labelled "Club Enhancement Fee" for 31.95. I promptly disputed the charge online then contacted Snap by email to ask about it. I was told, "that is a fee we charge every month in April to cover equipment." I read my contract and NOWHERE in it does it mention a "club enhancement fee"  Not only that, they suspended my membership due to a chargeback on the club enhancement fee. After the owner read my email, she says well normally I take chargebacks serious, but I''ll let you know when the funds arrive. (I had reinstated the fee, since it is the only gym in a rural area, which feeds their business (no other choices) Meanwhile I contact the credit card company twice, first time they had only reinstated the 47.50 monthly fee, and not the 31.95 equipment fee.

I'd advise against signing with them due to deceitfuland  unethical business practices including stating 12-month membership, when in fact what I signed was only a waiver and rules, one of which is "no photos or videos" yet you are on their surveillance the whole time your there. Weird.

Update :

I wait a few days. I go to the beach, the park, enjoy my time out of the gym. Coming back from the beach, I finally get an email, with an attachment. Owner is missing for 3 days straight. It shows something they had me sign but did not provide me a copy of.

I open the attachment. It has my signature. Read anything you sign with them, and request a copy for yourself. Then read it, hide it under your pillow for a few days, The owner has already read my ripoff report because she tells me: You don't have to wait six weeks to stop payments on your membership with us.

Not sure how she knew that the 30 day cancellation actually gives them the upper hand to charge you for another month.
