Specialized Loan Servicing Lies to customers and ignores complaints Highlands Ranch Colorado

After making 1.5 years of on-time payments, I called to request a change in my due date to allow for a change in my budget. I was told by a representative of SLS that I could not change my due date, but she would change my grace period from 15 days to 30 days.

SLS charged me late fees two months in a row for payments made within that grace period.

I wrote them a letter, explaining the details of my phone conversation. In response, they claim I was told that I could not make payments later, and could only send a post-dated check. This is a LIE. I was never told this. Obviously, I would have sent a post-dated check if I knew this was an option.

Several months later, one of my 2 loans was transferred to another servicing company. I was never made aware of the fact that I had 2 loans with SLS. When I first received 2 statements, I called to inquire. I was told, "that's just how we have to set it up in our system". Due to this misunderstanding, I sent both loan payments to the new servicer, prior to the due date.

SLS charged another late fee on the payment I had sent on time to the wrong place. Per their request, I mailed proof that I had send the payment on time, and further proof that I had more than adequate funds to make the payment.

SLS responded to this by mailing me copies of the letters from my previous dispute, and completely ignored my current issue. Additionally, their letter claimed that the issue was "resolved".

I pay my bills on time. Period. I don't lie. Ever. Specialized Loan Servicing is a company made to make money, with complete disregard for the real people behind their account numbers. They have a very poorly designed website, they do not allow online payments without a fee, and they consistently take over a week to post a received payment. In addition to lying and cheating their customers, all of these factors lead to a company that has no concern for fair and honest business.

This company is a disgrace. Search the web. You'll find complaints abound. And not a thing anyone can do about it.
