I went online to pay my bill 10/22/2018 of 150.00. Had 185.00 remaining balance due to be paid by 11/23/2018 and I was canceling their service. Only gave spectrum permission to take the money out that day. They held the money that same day.

When I looked again, Spectrum tried to take money out again 10/29/2018 and 11/01/2018 to deduct money from my account that I did not authorize. I was charged 30.00 and 25.00 on returned check fees, plus the 150.00 that I thought it said they took on the 23rd.

When i called spectrum and complained about the overdrafts I was told 2 different stories: the first, that my bank did not authorize the release of the funds until the 1st, and they never got the money in the first place and the second story, that they wait until at least a week before they take the money.

Spoke with a Supervisor who angrily told me that I should have never gave them my bank info, and should have also read my contract. Ok. Called my bank and was told that they never hold money on bills, and that spectrum went in several different times attempting to take the money out from the 29th to the 1st.

Disputed with my bank and the funds were returned. Spectrum has now charged me a total of 576.00 for 2 months of service due to me disputing their sheisty actions: 335.xx cents for Oct/Nov, but where did the additional 241 come from? I'm month to month, no contract, and one months bill is 185.00.

Today is 11/08. Lol. I will pay 150.00 if indeed they never got it, as they claimed (but my bank statements prove other wise) plus the prorated price, but that's all these cretins are getting from me. Buyer, beware.

Funny

Yes you did read the previous comments, just like you are reading these. The problem you have is that I hit the nail on the head and you have nothing you can disagree with. So instead of justifying your position and defending your post you go after the poster who has pointed out issues with name calling and other typical tacticts.

I didn't even read what you tried to write. Again get off my report. Find something else constructive to get involved in. I do have a life, so all future correspondence will be spammed. Like your life.

The facts

AUTHOR: Robert - (United States)

POSTED: Friday, November 09, 2018

I am NOT delinquent on any of my spectrum bills until now; before you starting owning the company, get the facts straight and let the consumers make their own decisions or opinions. Get off my report, moron.

Yes the "facts" provided by you show you were trying to short pay them..that is not up to dispute because YOU are the one who admited it by posting how much you were going to pay verses how much you owed.  The "fact" that you somehow think you only gave them authorization to remove the funds on that day only, further shows your error.

Now, if the "facts" you provided are in error then you may want to correct that by posting the actual statements. As it is really simple to remove any "personal" information before posting.

This is a public web site, and while this may be a shock to you the public may respond and they may not always tell you things you want to hear.  So contrary to what I think you were trying to say, I am not now or have I ever been an employee of this company.  Although I do use this company and therefore do know what would be on the actual statement compared to the partial screenshots you were showing.

AND No, I am NOT delinquent on any of my spectrum bills until now; before you starting owning the company, get the facts straight and let the consumers make their own decisions or opinions. You know...

AUTHOR: Robert - (United States)

You know if you want to write a RipOff about a company, you probably shouldn't start off by admitting that you were trying to short pay them.

As right off the bat you admit you were short paying your bill on 10/22 because you actually owed $185.35 and only paid $150. So any claims that you may try to make saying that you pay your bills and are never late, just went out the window.

Your "Screen Shots" mean NOTHING. As we have no idea when you took them, nor we don't even see the entire screen. What counts is your full STATEMENTS. Yes you can pull your actual statements by downloading the PDF. If you posted those say starting from September, showing the entire transaction history. I would bet we would see a picture that is very different. Probably one of delinquencies, payments being returned by your bank, and additional charges.

Only gave spectrum permission to take the money out that day.
- NO you authorized them to withdraw the funds one time. If they don't withdraw it that day it doesn't give you the right to then dispute the charges. They tried again multiple times because your bank rejected the debit each time, probably because of insufficent funds in your bank account. I am actually surprised that your bank approved the dispute, and wonder how temporary this will end up being.

Based on your statement, I would bet that they didn't pull the funds that day. You don't keep a written register so figured you had more money than you actually did. Spent the $150 that they were to withdraw. Then when they tried your bank rejected it because you now have insufficent funds.  Which would be YOUR fault.

Today is 11/08. Lol. I will pay 150.00 if indeed they never got it, as they claimed (but my bank statements prove other wise) plus the prorated price,
- Don't you think you probably should have verified that before you filed the dispute?
