spirit airlines It is impossible to file a claim for stolen and vandalized luggage with the company. They give out email addresses which don't work, they don't answer phones or emails and then claim that you waited more than four hours to make a report! who even gets to unpack checked luggage within four hours? ask for boarding help for disabled and it's doubtfull that you will get it. Nationwide

I recently booked passage with Spirit from O'Hare to Ft. Myers on line.  The reservation did not go thorugh correctly and I was booked at a wrong time and they would not correct it without an additional hundred dollars (thus doubling the cost of the flight).

Upon unpacking, I found that items inside my luggage had been stolen and others vandalized.  I made dozens of attempts to try to report this and found that email address after email address were non functional and that calls to their offices go to the typical (Please hold on-until your battery is dead and thus you haven't contacted us) system.

When  you finally get through you get told that your time to report a claim has elapsed (FOUR HOURS!) That's right, Spirit only gives  you four hours to report theft or damage.  Now who opens their luggage at the airport to see if wverything's there!

How many times does it take more than four hours to get home and how many unpack the moment they get in their home to see what the Spirit Employees have stolen this time?

Four freaking hours, that's right.  Maybe that's why it sometimes takes so long to get your luggage back?  Cut an hour or so off of the four hours they give you?

Then try to contact a representative!  Don't even bother to try to contact a company executive by email.  They give out unresponsive email address on thei web sites.

I will never, never again book with Spirit Airlines.  I'll drive, take a train or buss before I would ever again use spirit.
