I'm a huge Corinne Bailey Rae fan and thought it was the perfect Valentine's Day gift for my fiance. I was thrilled when I saw she was coming to Boston and gladly paid the $500+ for two tickets, thinking seeing her was more that worth the price. Imagine how stupid I felt when I found out I could have gotten those same tickets directly from the House of Blues Boston for $50!! Scammed by a disreputable StubHub, praying on buyers like me who don't buy tickets regularly and aren't aware of their tactics.
Now I will try all possible recourse to recoup my money but I'm sure they have their big lawyer-protected "buyer beware" clauses to keep me from success.
DON'T USE STUB HUB!!! It is nothing but a front for criminals looking to scam unaware fans like me. I don't understand why they are in business with all the supposed "consumer protection" laws on the books!
An embarrassed fan.

Dear Judy,
My name is Jeffrey from Executive Customer Care at StubHub. I read your post and would like to apologize for any disappointment you may have felt with your recent StubHub ticket purchase. I understand you purchased tickets through our website to see Corinne Bailey Rae and had paid above the face value, only to find out later that the tickets were less expensive when being sold through the primary market. I apologize for any inconvenience the cost of your tickets may have caused you and would like to address your concerns with ticket pricing on StubHub at this time.
It might help to first explain that we are fans just like you, and we started StubHub to provide a marketplace for all fans to buy and sell tickets. We are not a ticket seller, which means we do not hold the ticket inventory. Thus we do not list the tickets, nor create the prices found on our website. The prices are actually set by the fans selling their extra tickets. The fans selling tickets at StubHub might be season ticket holders, ticket holders who have changed their plans or are unable to attend an event, etc. We're an open marketplace, which means that anyone can buy or sell tickets at StubHub.
In most cases, the prices found on our website will be based on Market Value, popularity of the event, or seat location. However pricing can also be dependent on different factors such as: player/performer popularity, standings, ratings, and the location of events. Often you will find that the tickets listed on our website will be priced different than the face value printed on the ticket. Since StubHub is not the ticket owner, we are never aware of the face value of tickets and do not hold that information. As we are an open marketplace for tickets, we do not restrict our sellers in regards to pricing above face value. The StubHub User Agreement requests that sellers list tickets in accordance with all applicable local, state, federal, and international laws, statutes, and regulations. However, because laws differ from place to place and we do not have possession of the tickets, we cannot attempt to monitor such compliance
I would again like to apologize for any inconveniences you may have experienced regarding these tickets. Please email me at yourfeedbackmatters@stubhub.com with your full name and order number and Id be more than happy to look into this situation further so we may work towards a possible resolution.
