I took my car for a check up regarding a cooling system issue. The car was leaking water from below. I had to take it 3 times because each time, they were "too busy" to even look at it.

After I managed for them to receive the car, I was called said that the original "heater core" replacement that we thought that had to be carried out was wrongly diagnosed (by another car shop) and that the job was really the replacement of several hoses.

After requoting the job and receiving then another car recommending to change the main valve cover gasket the total bill totalled $650.

I had to leave the car the whole day for these simple tasks to be completed; I only have one car, so I had to walk to and from work that day.

I picked up the car at the end of the day and drove 1 mile to my home. I was told that the car was properly tested.

The next day, on the very FIRST time out, the car started overheating again. I called the Sun Devil Auto store that I had taken the car to and was told to take it to another of their stores that was close by. After waiting for another 2.5 hours, I was told that the problem was that the cooling fan was not starting up.

I called again the 1st place and asked them if they had really checked the car and why something so simple was not detected. They gave me a totally irrational and absurd answer stating that electrical issues were erratic and could have failed after they finished the first job (yes, probably I was born yesterday).

I had to wait for my car to cool down, and drive back home. The next day I took the car again to the first place and after 2 hours received a call stating that the issue was that the wire harness to the cooling was faulty. After another $50 and 3 more hours of wait I finally got my car back.

Oh...I forgot to mention that I sent a note to the Sun Devil Auto main office and got an earful of comments from the manager of the store which I took my car. It seems that the corporate office faxed the individual and asked him what was going on.

In summary...beware. Sun Devil Auto is careless, not detail oriented and will let you stranded with mediocre jobs and you will have repeated visits...all to drain you money.

Every time someone posts a claim on Sun Devil's Non sense..this online customer service agent comes in here trying to make amends..talking about how many years they are in the business and how many shops they have...moron! How does that excuse all the lousy claims and complaints on these fools. They are a scam! Certifications do not excuse lack of care and the business of ripping people off! There is no credible response for this so buddy....stop showing up here trying to make people believe you actually give a d**n...go get lit somewhere..or did you just come from there and decided to post a bit?
