Synchrony Bank Care Credit I was given $1500 "care credit" paid over twice the minimum amount due. One year later I was charged $390 for deferred interest. I was NEVER told if the entire balance was not paid off in a year they would charge all the back interest.Orlando Florida

One year ago, I signed up for a dental credit card. It was called, Care Credit under Syncrony Bank. Cabrillo Dentest recomended them. I was given a promontional rate of zero interest. After a year, to be charged 26.99%
Instead, (after one year of on time payments, at twice the minimum,) I was charged the entire interest amount for the past year. This was not a promotional better credit card. This was a subprime "bait and switch." I had a $1090.00 balance and charged $390.00 in one month!!!!!!!!!!!
The reason why I signed up for this card was "zero interest the first year." The fine print did not disclose charging all the back interest in one lump sum, a year later.. Nobody would voluntary sign up for this outrageous fee, if they had all the information. FRAUD.I fired the Dental Office who recommended them.

Why is it when I had a deal with the SAME card, I saw the information on my account page and YOU didn't? I must work for them, right?

The fine print did not disclose charging all the back interest in one lump sum, a year later.
- Actually, yes it did. You will see that the terms stated if you failed to pay the balance within the year they will assess the accrued Interest.
Nobody would voluntary sign up for this outrageous fee, if they had all the information.
- That is not a fee, that is the accrued Interest because you failed to pay off the balance by the end of the promotional period. Had you paid it off within that year you would have paid zero interest.
You obvioualy have the Paper Statements, so go back and look at your previous bills. When you do this you will see a very obvious section that talks about your promotional rate. Including the amount of Interest that has accrued and will be charged and the expiration date of the promotion.

First learn how to spell. Second it was no interest for the first year because you were supposed to PAY OFF the card in the first year which you did not do. I had this card when I had dental surgery and was paid off within a year with NO interest. Maybe next time you should read the terms of agreement for the card. Therefore you were not ripped off and there was no "bait and switch".
