Tanner Transmission RIPOFF, KEPT VEHICLE FOR TOO LONG, Ogden Utah

On July 18th, I contacted Tanner to tow my vehicle because of an earlier conversation I had with the manager of the Ogden store named Bob. Last year I had transmission problems and he checked it out, said he would beat the next lowest bid by $200.00, and he said to bring it down when it finally went out.

After they towed it in, I heard nothing from them for 8 days, while I was shuffled back and forth from different employees who knew nothing. When Bob finally told me he had to rebuild the tranny, I was trapped by them because they had shipped it to SLC and it would be days to get it back to Ogden to be towed to another reputable mechanic.

After another ten days, they were finally done, charging me a full $500.00 more than other bids I had gotten. I would never take anything to any Tanner in Utah. Tell everyone you know NOT to go there. Go to Transmission Exchange in Ogden, he is very good and HONEST, or to TSO in Roy. They are very good and will TALK TO YOU!!
