My son,who is an accountant,did my 2013 taxes on turbo tax,on February 23rd.2014.He put all the W-2 's and 4 1099 forms sent to me by Fidelity Investments......All of my money is invested at one place.Fidelity.It took him 5 minutes to plug in the numbers.This year I made sales from my I.R.A. to buy tax-free muni bonds issiued by my home state,Louisiana.I did not realize by doing so,i would create a very large Frderal and State tax consequence. I owe the feds..$50,000 and the state of Louisiana,$8,000...My son suggeasted I should have it reviewed by a tax-attorney.Tax Defender's network claims to have tax attornies to do these reviews,and offer option and pay plans,and possible I.R.S.settlements.....this is where it gets fuzzy.

My case manager was Cynthi Fultz......She is NOT a tax attorney,or an attorney at all.She is what they refer to a a case diector.She told me today that after she reviewd all my documents,I would still have to pay all the above noted amounts in full.....Great,all those taxes ,and $2,250 to her company.For these reasons ,i believe I was led to believe They could reach a reduced settlement with the I.R.S.She went as far as to inform me that the reason they choose Jacksonville,was becase the I.R.S. was only one mile from their offices !!!! Amazing....No refund of any payment made to them,and no tax reduction at allll i think I have been duped.I am on a fixed income,and my fife works part time....I had to sell annuity to get the money to pay everyone....I have never paid before.I got a fefind last year foe 2012,from the federal government and the state....i do not know what else to do.
